Third READJUST Progress Meeting in Karlsruhe, Germany
From 27-28 November, the READJUST consortium met again in person for its third progress meeting in Karlsruhe, Germany, hosted by Fraunhofer ISI. Over two days, partners reviewed progress, strengthened collaboration across work packages, and jointly shaped the next steps of the project.
The meeting opened with a welcome by Andrea Zenker, Deputy Head of the Department of Policy and Society at Fraunhofer ISI, who introduced the hosting institution and shared background on the city of Karlsruhe, setting a warm and engaging tone for the days ahead. Following this, Emad Yaghmaei, Senior Consultant at YAGHMA outlined the goals of the meeting, encouraging partners to reflect on READJUST’s progress, future direction, and how the consortium can deliver meaningful contributions to a better understanding of twin transition inequalities.
Exploring Links Across Work Packages
The first interactive workshop invited partners to map connections between tasks and work packages, creating a shared, holistic understanding of the project’s structure and supporting deeper cross-team alignment. In the next session, 4CF presented several future scenarios related to the twin transition, including possible developments in food safety, urban life, living standards, AI and climate by 2050. These scenarios served as a great starting point for discussion on how such changes could affect inequalities in the agri-food and mobility sectors.
A creative highlight of the day was the LEGO Serious Play workshop, where participants built small models to express ideas about fair transition policies. The day concluded with a joint cooking event that offered time for getting to know each other better.
Communication and Long-Term Impact
Day two focused on communication, dissemination and the long-term value of READJUST’s results. In co-creation sessions, partners worked on refining key messages for stakeholder groups and explored how project outcomes can generate social value beyond the project’s lifetime. These discussions will feed into a strategy for ensuring that the project’s insights are accessible and applied in practice.
After two days of active exchange and productive discussions, the meeting closed with a renewed sense of alignment and shared purpose among the consortium partners.
