READJUST at the 7th OECD World Forum on Well-being in Rome
From 4 to 6 November, the 7th OECD World Forum on Well-being took place in Rome, bringing together global experts from diverse fields to engage in discussions on sustainable and inclusive actions in policy, measurement, and societal action. Together with its sister projects MERGE, Fitter-EU and ST4TE, READJUST shared a booth to discuss inequalities and wellbeing issues related to the twin transition. The discussions highlighted the need for better tools and methodologies to measure the impact of policies linked to the digital and green transitions. READJUST is contributing to this goal through the development of a policy tracker tool. This innovative tool is designed to map and analyse existing policies in the urban mobility sector and the farming industry, two key areas that are undergoing significant transformation as part of the green and digital transitions.
In an interview at the event, the project coordinator emphasised the significance of the OECD Forum in facilitating valuable connections with policymakers: “The OECD Forum is a very good way to connect with policymakers that might be working on well-being issues and inequalities related to the twin transition”, Tristan de Wildt explained. “In our project there are at least to ways in which policymakers are important. First, we conduct a lot of expert interviews in order to map and understand the current state and issues of policies. Second, later in the process when we build tools that assist policymakers, we also need to engage with them in order to exchange how these tools can be useful, how they can be designed and how it can help them in policymaking processes.”
